Michel Velazquez is a multidisciplinary artist who creates from lived experience, emotion, and love. Born in Mexico City and raised in Jalisco, his roots deeply influence his work and worldview. Before painting, Michel was a published poet, and that storytelling sensibility still lives in every piece he creates.
Working across canvas and repurposed materials, Michel transforms memory, struggle, and beauty into art. He is best known for his portraits of women, honoring the divine feminine strength, vulnerability, and resilience often marked by a single teardrop as a symbol of grace through pain.
